Ty Manns is a 24-year, active duty retired U.S. Army Infantry Officer, and a retired corporate executive turned professional screenplay writer, storyteller, Director, and Producer. Throughout his military and corporate career, Ty served and traveled all over the world, but he never lost his passion for storytelling, creativity, and filmmaking. In 2018 he and Co-founder, Bishop Charles V. Mackie formed the independent production company, Manns Mackie Studios for the purpose of writing and producing faith-based and family feature film projects.
Ty wrote the groundbreaking feature film “A Question of Faith” which premiered in theaters nationwide. Ty’s other feature film credits include “My Brother’s Keeper,” released theatrically in 2021, and “Redeemed,” a BET Plus original movie in 2021. Ty holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and an MBA in Operations Management. He is also a graduate of the US Army Materials and Acquisitions Management School. He is married to Mia Manns (30 years) and they have two sons, United States Marine Corps, 1LT Delone Manns and, United States Army, 2LTMatthew Manns.
